We had a good experience with these movers. They were on time and called with an exact time. They were also very careful moving our piano. Friendly and professional. I would certainly recommend them.
They did a great job moving my mom into her 2 bedroom apartment. They were careful with her couple antique pieces. They moved her organ like it was nothing. They put down a couple carpet runners so they didn't track in dirt. They brought lots of furniture pads, wheels, dollies, straps, all the right equipment. Even though they charge by the hour, they hussled. The bill was less than the quote. I can't believe I thought about getting some friends together and moving her myself - way worth it for my back, and for not making my friends ex-friends. Thanks a bunch guys!
Abbott Moving & Storage is great at what they do. They are on time and they respect your fragile items they move.They have the best movers. I had them move some fragile antiques of mine and they were careful. I would use them again. Not to pricey. If your looking for top quality moving services for items that you do not want damaged I highly recommend going to them. I have had great experience with them. They have the best local movers and I would use them again.They are professional at what they do.
Now, the good news is that the other guys on the crew were great. They were friendly, introduced themselves, joked around, and thanked me for the box of doughnuts I bought. They were quick, helpful, and professional. When they arrived at the new house they rolled out rugs so that they wouldn't track dirt into the new house. These are the kind of young men who should be on staff! And the one gentleman, Ricardo I believe was his name, should be leading his own team. He was outstanding!
I had both a really good and really bad experience with them...during the same move. First, they were quite late. Then I got a phone call that they were lost and the guy on the phone was irritated and said that he almost called off that morning, which I thought was him joking. They finally got to the house, and the crew leader was almost immediately ticked off because it was a far larger job than he had been told. I don't know how that happened when ultimately the job took the 6-7 hours Inhasd been quoted. The crew leader called his boss and was swearing like mad, and quit. A bit later got it together and did the job, but was in a huff for at least an hour. During that time he was pretty rough. And once everything was moved into the new house, the front of my armoire was scraped up, and I have a long scratch across my granmother's china cabinet. Also, at the end I was charged for the time they spent driving around trying to find my house! He eventually came around and became more friendly, but his unprofessional behavior left a bad taste in my mouth about using rhis company.
Horrible experience. DO NOT USE!! Owner brought two other people and we agreed on price. As soon they had my stuff on board their trucks, he jacked up the price by $60 an hour because of "flight of stairs". What the heck! I told him about them up front and it was on the quote he gave me. On top of that, he then forced me to pay cash so I couldn't dispute it after. Had no choice - they had my stuff. What was I supposed to do? Then they lost some of my boxes (or so I assume - maybe they took them?) and then denied it. I had counted all the boxes on pickup and then on drop off and they were three short. Then owner gets aggressive and calls me liar. Me? Will be pursuing small claims to try and recover what I can. Don't have much faith as owner doesn't look like the type of guy who pays even if he loses. The man is a liar and a huckster, plain and simple. Do not use unless you want unnecessary pain in your life.
