Their good reviews were written by their own employees. They never answer the phones. Check better business bureau(all the good reviews match their bad ones there.) And if you are selling or want them to manage, remember most of their renters are furious.
I interviewed a few agents before meeting with Brad Hayes, each one of them just did not offer me what I wanted. I did not feel like I had a connection with them. I met with Brad and his wife and they toured my home and after meeting with them I knew I had found our agents. They were down to earth and honest. I decided to list my home for sale with them and 3 days later I was under contract. After a few hiccups with my property lines they were able to help negotiate with the buyers and did not let them walk away. I would highly suggest them to list and sell your home. If I ever decide to sell again I will not hesitate to list my home with him again.
I personally spoke with Brad Hayes before I rented a home with their company. He was very nice and helpful. I viewed several properties with them before choosing the home I rented. We did a walk through and anything that was in need of repair or questionable, was handled either immediately or with in a few days of moving in.
I have lived here just a little over a year, and am very happy with the property. I have never had an issue talking to anyone there, also no answering machines. I guess you have to know when to call..They have always been very helpful. i appreciate the fact I found a home I really like, and it is close to my job. No bad stories here.
My Daughter rented a house from them. In July their roof started leaking above the bath tub and she let Shawna and Jason know immediately. they said they would tarp it and NOTHING was done. On November 18th the ceiling began to fall and almost fell on her two year daughter. NOTHING done again. Now it is almost a month later and all they have done was come out and measure the roof on Dec 4th. She is in the process of buying house and thank goodness she gets it next week. She didn't pay December rent because of the ceiling and now they are saying that she hasn't paid Nov rent when she clearly has a check that they cashed. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!!!!!! DON'T RENT FROM THEM!!!!!
If I could give hayes realty no stars I would. Only thing these people care about is money. Stay away if you can. Due to existence of extreme problems that the apt I had rented, like having two squirrels in the walls for several weeks which really made me scared and I could not sleep at night because of the weird noises from the wall. I have attached the images. I had requested to move out just one month before the lease contract of 12 months ended. I have their e-mails that they accepted my move out and that they will refund my deposit; and based on those written e-mails, I started looking for room to rent and I made new contract for a year and I paid there. But just a day before my move out, they called me and they told me that they will not refund my deposit! This is while they have sent me their acceptance by e-mail before. They did not reply my e-mails after that. They just wanted to take advantage of my deposit money; otherwise, why they emailed me me one month before that if I move out, they are going to refund my deposit. if they did not accept refund of deposit, I did not made contract somewhere else and double pay for a month of rent. they waited to make sure that I am moving out, then they told me that they do not give me back my deposit. I will consult with attorneys in the university and follow up this issue. the manager, Jennifer Acklin emailed me 3 days before the move out that she will refund deposit, but then 1 day before my move out, she called me that she wont. The apt that I lived there had a lot of problems and it did not worth the rent that I was paying for it. All my friends now about this problem and I will tell all the friends and students that I know are looking for a place to stay away from this realty.
